Job Description

North Allegheny School District is one the highest performing public school districts in Pennsylvania and recognized nationally for its focus on academic achievement and growth, future preparation, school climate and student and staff wellness.  Located just north of Pittsburgh, it is the largest suburban school district in Allegheny County with over 8,500 students.

We are looking for a Homebound Instructor to provide instruction to a high school student.  The main subject will be Functional Academics.  The instructor must have a Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification for high school.

Assignment Details

  1. The position will be for the duration of the 2026-2027 School Year starting as soon as possible
  2. 5 hours per week
  3. Instruction will be conducted on a mutually agreed upon schedule, likely during the school day
  4. Instruction will be conducted either virtually or in the student's home.

 
To work within a Pennsylvania Public School, the following clearances are also required:
Act 34 - PA Criminal History
Act 114 - FBI Fingerprinting
Act 126/31 - Mandated Reporter Training
Act 151 - Child Abuse History
Act 168 - Sexual Misconduct and Disclosure Form
*If you have already obtained these clearances, they must be within one (1) year of hire date.
