Job Summary
Responsible for designing, actively managing and executing investor relations activities for the Dangote Group and all its publicly listed subsidiaries. Also responsible for ensuring consistent communication of the strategy, performance and targets to relevant investors and external stakeholders in the finance community.
Job Responsibilities
- Investor Management
▪ Develop the Group’s investor relations strategy and framework
▪ Create and publish all investor relations reports for the Dangote Group including Annual Report, SEC filings, quarterly earnings reports, financial news releases, investor fact sheets and investor presentations
▪ Maintain a robust and updated database of the Group’s institutional investors and analysts
▪ Collate and analyse perceptions and opinions of investors and analysts on the Group and its subsidiaries
▪ Produce and distribute periodic internal investor relations & marketing reports for executive management and board of the Group and subsidiaries
▪ Oversee responses to daily/quarterly investor queries and interact professionally and articulately with all
relevant external stakeholders - Communication
- ▪ Collaborate with Financial reporting, Legal and Communications to ensure accurate and consistent
▪ Develop external communications plans for all corporate and financial announcements and events
▪ Manage communications regarding matters which could impact the Group or subsidiaries’ reputations
▪ Coordinate, plan and execute of all investor events (one-on-one investor meetings, analyst conferences, marketing road shows, AGM, investor days etc.)
▪ Prepare announcement, conference call, Q&A, presentation scripts for the President, Group Managing
Director and other members of the executive management team as required
- Capital Markets Monitoring
▪ Monitor changes and updates on regulatory and statutory requirements relating to the financial markets
and listed securities
▪ Develop competitive analysis, benchmark industry trends, and continuously measure business performance to provide a confident framework for the investment community and other stakeholders
- External Relations
▪ Build and foster relationships within the investment community to promote the Group's network and brand exposure
▪ Proactively manage the investment community to ensure strong correlation between the Group’s business performance and investor expectations
▪ Serve as primary relationship manager for external investor-related parties and develop strong relationships with analysts and investors
▪ Represent the Dangote Group at key industry conferences and events
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience
▪ Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable tertiary institution
▪ 10+ years relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position
Functional Competencies
▪Demonstrated experience in defining and leading a top-notch Investor Relations function at a high-growth technology company, including having successfully developed and implemented proactive Investor Relations (IR) strategies that have navigated complex issues as well as delivered positive outcome
▪ Deep understanding of how customer needs, customer insights, business opportunities and challenges
within the consumer internet ecosystem impact IR strategy
▪ Demonstrated ability to build an internal IR strategy center of excellence at Dangote that acts as a repository for and clearinghouse of the most important long term questions facing the company
▪ Proven success partnering with the Board as well as working cross-functionally with leadership to ensure accurate reporting and best outcomes
▪ Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing abilities; ability to clearly communicate
compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners

▪ Compelling Storyteller: Passionate about engaging and educating investors by delivering a compelling
message that is also aligned to a company’s mission
▪ Knowledge of accounting concepts, techniques, principles and disclosures used within the Dangote Group’s Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
▪ Deep knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian stock exchange rules and global equity capital markets as well as key metrics for companies in the industry
▪ Demonstrated ability to produce and deliver well-synthesised analyses, narratives, and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences
