St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is actively seeking a per diem Patient Transporter to join our team!Position: Patient Transport
Job Type: Per Diem
Schedule: Rotating Shifts including weekend and holidays
Department: Central Transport
Location: St. Mary Medical Center
As a Patient Transport you will:
Transports patient throughout the hospital
Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number.
Keeps incident log of transports.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma/Equivalent
CPR Certification - issued by AHA (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
1-year prior hospital experience desired
