HELP/ Classroom Assistant Teachers - Elementary 2026-2027

REPORTS TO:
Classroom Teacher and Building Principal

JOB GOAL:
The HELP Teacher/Classroom Assistant, under the direction of the classroom teacher, assists the teacher in the instructional and non-instructional activities of the class, so as to provide the children with more direct supervision and instruction.

QUALIFICATION

• Preferred � Bachelors Degree with coursework in early childhood training, psychology, classroom methods or related areas. Such alternative or additional qualifications as determined by the Board.
• Preferred � a New Jersey Teaching Certificate
• Demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities and to communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians and school staff.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

Salary:  $31.62/hr, Maximum 29.5 hours per week
