Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven Manager, Grocery Partnerships Marketing to lead and grow our marketing team in Japan. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in one of Amazon's most innovative and rapidly expanding businesses, still in its early stages in the Japan market. You will own the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for Grocery Partnerships in Japan, building and managing a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer experiences and drives measurable business growth.

As the Manager of Japan Grocery Partnerships Marketing, you will be responsible for setting the strategic marketing vision, developing your team members, and driving cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external merchant partners. You will operate at both the strategic level — generating bold, innovative ideas for growth and presenting to senior leadership — and at the tactical level, diving deep into campaign performance, customer insights, and operational execution. This role requires a leader who thrives in ambiguity, can build structure in a fast-moving environment, and is passionate about the grocery space and delighting customers.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of building and leading marketing teams, launching high-impact programs in grocery, CPG, or marketplace environments, and making data-driven decisions at scale. You should be an expert at influencing cross-functional partners, have a solid understanding of customer dynamics and segmentation in the Japan market, and possess the entrepreneurial mindset needed to scale a business from the ground up. Our team culture is goal-oriented, collaborative, and driven to achieve results — we seek a leader who is motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment.
