JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports directly to the department manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Six years of direct job-related experience
- Computer skills are a plus.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
MAIN DUTIES:
·Complete pre-operational safety checklists prior to operating any equipment or machinery.
·Provide support to engineers by troubleshooting process problems and implementing timely solutions.
·Monitor/debug methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
·Assist in layout of workstation to improve workflow.
- Monitor all process parameters, utilizing metering equipment, throughout shift.
- React to process problems quickly; consult with engineers on appropriate action.
- Assist engineers with design of experiments.
- Assist with all set ups with the department.
- Ensure all equipment is working properly.
- Interact/interface with supporting departments
- Ensure all safety rules and regulations are being followed.
- Report any and all no conformities and accidents.
- Do not modify or by-pass any safety related systems on any equipment or machinery.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to your department manager.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your department manager or safety department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
