We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to play a key role supporting Program delivery within Northrop Grumman Australia’s Defence portfolio.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Program leadership to provide commercial oversight, contract guidance, and risk-balanced advice, ensuring delivery of Sustainment and Through Life Support (TLS) services to the Commonwealth.
You’ll also contribute to shaping contract scope through Survey & Quote (S&Q) activities and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), helping drive program success while managing commercial risk.

What you’ll be doing
Provide commercial and contractual advice to support program outcomes
Lead or support contract change proposals, including negotiation and drafting
Prepare and deliver S&Qs, contract deliverables, and notifications
Support key contract reviews (e.g. cost and performance reviews)
Oversee delivery of services to ensure alignment with contracted scope
Manage contractual disputes, claims, and issues
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Commonwealth representatives
Contribute as part of the Program Senior Leadership Team
What we’re looking for
You’re a commercially astute professional who thrives in complex Defence environments and can balance customer outcomes with business risk.
You will bring:
Degree or Diploma in Business, Contract Law, or equivalent experience
Experience in contract management within Defence, ideally using ASDEFCON templates
Demonstrated experience preparing CCPs and S&Qs
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve win-win outcomes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
Experience leading or mentoring small teams
A proactive, collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills
