Job Description
As the Account Technology Strategist (ATS), you will play a pivotal role in helping this organization accelerate its digital and AI transformation journey by shaping the customer’s technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and solution roadmap. You will work closely with customers to understand their business priorities, technology landscape, and transformation objectives, translating them into actionable technology strategies that generate business outcomes, customer value, and growth for Microsoft.
You will leverage your deep understanding of the communication, transportation, and retail industries, combined with strong expertise across cloud, AI, security, data, applications, and modern workplace technologies, to guide the organization in exploring new and emerging technology trends. Your role will involve creating a clear and shared technology vision for customer transformation, aligning Microsoft’s capabilities to the customer’s long-term business goals, and helping customers modernize their technology foundation while accelerating innovation and measurable business impact.
You will work closely with executives across Technology and Business functions, including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, innovation leaders, and business decision makers, to develop and continuously refine the customer’s digital, AI, and security roadmap. As a trusted technology advisor, you will help customers make strategic technology decisions, identify innovation opportunities, remove technical blockers, and adopt Microsoft solutions in a way that delivers incremental value throughout their transformation journey.
In addition to your technical and strategic expertise, you will bring strong technology sales, advisory, and orchestration experience to the role. This includes:
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer business priorities into scalable, secure, and practical technology architectures that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Experience in developing and executing customer technology strategies that accelerate digital, AI, security, and cloud transformation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior technology stakeholders, including CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, and innovation leaders, to influence technology direction and investment decisions.
- Expertise in understanding customer technology landscapes, identifying modernization opportunities, shaping technical solution strategies, and supporting pipeline creation and consumption growth.
- Strong ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams across Microsoft, partners, engineering, solution specialists, customer success, and commercial teams to deliver integrated solutions and remove technical blockers.
- Ability to lead executive-level technology conversations, connect Microsoft innovation to customer priorities, and challenge customers with constructive, insight-led recommendations.

Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
Partner with customers to define and execute their technology strategy and roadmap, aligning business priorities with scalable, secure, and outcome-driven solutions across cloud, AI, security, and data.
Strategic Customer Engagement
Build trusted advisor relationships with senior technology stakeholders (e.g., CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO), translating business needs into technology direction and delivering impactful insights that shape decision-making.
Enterprise Architecture Advisory
Assess customer technology landscape and provide guidance on architecture, modernization, and innovation, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term transformation goals.
Technical Orchestration
Collaborate across Microsoft teams, partners, and customer stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions, remove technical blockers, and drive successful execution of key initiatives.
Pipeline & Opportunity Development
Identify and shape technical opportunities by linking customer business priorities to Microsoft solutions, supporting pipeline growth, solution adoption, and value realization.
Consumption & Value Realization
Drive adoption and usage of Microsoft solutions by aligning technical strategy with execution, ensuring customers achieve measurable business outcomes and ongoing value.
Industry & Technical Leadership
Bring industry insights, emerging trends, and innovative technology perspectives to customers, helping them accelerate digital and AI transformation.
Communication & Collaboration
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences, and effectively lead cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams.
Qualifications
- Proven 5-7+ years of experience in technology strategy, solution architecture, technical sales, enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, AI transformation, or related technology advisory roles.
- Demonstrates ability to translate customer business priorities into technology strategy, solution architecture, and executable transformation roadmaps.
- Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior technology executives, including CIO, CTO, CDO, and CISO.
- Leads technical orchestration across Microsoft teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver solutions and remove technical blockers.
- Drives technical opportunity identification and shapes solutions that deliver clear business value and measurable outcomes.
