Role Focus
This position is primarily surgery scheduling–focused.
✔️ No patient check‑in or check‑out responsibilities
Top Responsibilities
Schedule cosmetic and dermatologic surgeries
Contact patients with pre‑procedure instructions
Send clinical notes to referring physicians
Facilitate patient flow in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
Schedule appointments and obtain appropriate demographic and financial information
Explain department/hospital charges and policies
Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems
Collect necessary patient payments
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
What Success Looks Like
3 Months: Able to work independently while still partnering closely with a mentor
6 Months: Mostly independent, with minimal questions
12 Months: Fully independent and confident in all responsibilities

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to learn and retain medical coding
ICD‑10 and CPT coding preferred
Ability to interpret insurance information
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices preferred
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Experience
Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
Prior scheduling, patient coordination, or medical office experience a plus
