In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality medication management across the organization while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to support exceptional patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
As a Pharmacist at Salem Hospital, you will:
• Oversee the procurement, distribution, and control of medications throughout the hospital
• Evaluate and provide comprehensive drug information to providers, staff, and patients
• Monitor medication therapies to promote safe and effective drug use
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, workflow improvements, and quality assurance efforts
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and best practices in pharmacy care
What We’re Looking For
• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy required
• Current Massachusetts Pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy environment preferred
• New graduates considered with at least 2 years of clinical experience as a pharmacy intern
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both clinical and non-clinical staff
• Proficiency with computer applications and pharmacy systems
• High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
