Reporting directly to Quality Manager within the Quality Control department, The Quality Control Inspector l is responsible for inspecting incoming lighting products to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards. This role performs visual and aesthetic inspections by comparing products to reference photos, samples, and specifications, verifies measurements using drawings and tools, and safely unpacks and repacks products during inspection. The position records inspection results and supports product disposition to help maintain product quality and presentation.

How success is defined:
Inspect incoming products by performing visual examinations and measurements to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards
Review product specifications, drawings, and reference materials to prepare for accurate inspection and evaluation
Document inspection results accurately in ERP or quality systems and communicate quality issues or failures to the Quality Manager
Measure product dimensions using appropriate tools and compare results to engineering drawings and specifications
Support product disposition decisions by identifying non-conforming materials and assisting with corrective actions
Safely unpack and repack products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during inspection
Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or pallet riders, to transport materials as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area in compliance with company safety standards
Collaborate with warehouse, quality, and operations teams to resolve quality issues and support operational goals
What you will bring:
Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Quality inspection training or coursework preferred
Training in AQL standards, inspection techniques, and measurement tools preferred
Ongoing training in quality systems and ERP software required
Experience inspecting products using drawings, specifications, or measurement tools preferred
Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects
Ability to use measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, and gauges
ERP Systems (JDE or similar): Enter inspection results and retrieve product information
Microsoft Excel: Enter data and maintain inspection records
Microsoft Outlook: Communicate inspection results and quality concerns
Ability to clearly communicate quality findings verbally and in writing
Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and material handling equipment
