What you will do:
*Directs daily operations in the assigned area. Schedules patients and delegates work assignments.
* Flow of clinical activities is consistently smooth, reflecting effective organization and planning.
* Demonstrates awareness of area productivity standards as evidenced by minimal area down time and pro-active proposals for utilization of staff to reflect health care trends.
* Monitors area charge sheets and staff documentation on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
*Ongoing monitoring of subordinate documentation is expected to insure completion, accuracy, and adherence to departmental policy. Variances from standards are addressed immediately. Formal monitoring is performed through the Peer Review process.
* Participates in Performance Improvement Committee.
* Ensures that staff are current with their competency review. Annually reviews area competencies to ensure relevance to current practice.
* Incorporates reimbursement issues in planning and providing interdisciplinary, quality patient care.
* Documentation on IRU demonstrates proficient use of FIM scoring in describing patient's functional performance. Successfully passes FIM credentialing exam and maintains FIM credentialed status.
* Evaluates/re-evaluates and implements a skilled therapy treatment program for patients, emphasizing functional performance in goal setting and outcomes. Functions in staff physical therapy job description.
Supervisor and subordinates are well informed of pertinent information. Area morale is high; teamwork is evident.
* Meets at least monthly with area staff as a group and individually. Discussions include goal achievement, PI results, KPI status and other pertinent topics. Meeting monthly with Director for the same.
Education & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy is required.
* Minimum two (2)years clinical experience is required.
Licensure:
* Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida is required.
