Job Description

SUMMARY

The primary role of the Calibration and Explosive Agent (Agent) is to ensure the accurate collection and processing of calibrated tools, hardware, and equipment, process explosive requests, and provide backup support for the warehouse. The Agent acts as a conduit between the engineering team and the warehouse by receiving, quoting, shipping, and routing calibrated tools, hardware, and equipment and interacts frequently with other departments including Engineering, Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, and Quality in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Performs energetic pull request as needed. Review form for accuracy, issue energetic material, hold for pickup, and return energetic material
  • Ensure energetic build room run rules are adhered to: Monitor explosive weight in build room and building site, check storage requirements, maintain supplies, and check tools used in the build room
  • Maintains strict inventory control of energetic material
  • Provide backup support for Receiving, Shipping, and Warehouse Assistant: opening packages, receiving hardware, reviewing shipping forms, prepare shipments, issue inventory from warehouse, route parts to internal destinations
  • Works closely with Engineering, Test, and Quality departments to locate and route tools, hardware, and equipment to the warehouse for calibration
  • Works with outside vendors to obtain quotes, ship, receive, and maintain inventory of tools, hardware, and equipment for calibration
  • Works closely with Receiving and Shipping departments to ensure timely receiving and shipping of tools, hardware, and equipment for calibration
  • Reviews receiving paperwork to ensure accuracy of calibration data
  • Processes internal department requests for tools, hardware, and or equipment to be routed, delivered, or collected
  • Performs daily walking audit of tools to ensure accurate information on the ID tag

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Required Education: HS diploma
  • Preferred Education: Associates Degree or higher
  • Preferred experience: 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong time management skills, ability to excel in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ERP/EPICOR experience preferred
  • This position requires the frequent use of stairs, occasionally lifting objects up to 50lbs
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check
