CFD Modelling & Technical Analysis
Develop advanced 3D CFD models to simulate fire growth and smoke movement.
Apply simulations to complex buildings and large infrastructure (including underground stations).
Perform ASET/RSET assessments and tenability analyses.
Assist to optimize smoke control, exhaust, and natural ventilation designs
Engineering Design & Documentation
Provide input into detailed CFD modelling methodology and results reports.
Contribute to comprehensive Fire Engineering Briefs (FEB) and Reports (FER).
Translate complex data into clear visual outputs for non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute towards the develop performance-based fire safety engineering solutions
Project & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and structural teams.
Prepare documentation and images to aid the Project Leader to liaise with fire authorities and independent peer reviewers to secure approvals.
Manage modelling workflows to meet strict project deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Fire, Mechanical or Civil (for discussions based upon the individuals’ qualifications and experience).
Experience, Skills and Organisational Knowledge
3+ years of dedicated CFD modelling experience in fire engineering.
Primary Software: Expert in FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) and PyroSim.
Evacuation Modelling: Experience with Pathfinder and or buildingEXODUS
Strong grasp of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and combustion principles.
knowledge of building codes and fire safety standards.
Clear verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.
