We're on the lookout for a Registered Teacher / Team Leader to join our thriving team in Westgate.

This role is part-time - 30 hours per week which can be spread across 4 or 5 days a week.

The Opportunity | Te Aheinga

  • Provide high-quality care and education for tamariki, ensuring the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of every child are met through a supportive environment.

  • Plan and guide the developmental journey of each tamaiti using Te Whariki as a foundation.

  • Implement the curriculum while bringing your own creative ideas to the daily programme.

  • Build strong and authentic relationships with families and whanau.

  • Maintain a high standard of physical care and hygiene throughout the day.

  • Foster a welcoming and co-operative working atmosphere with the rest of the team.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to keep your practice current and transformative.


About You | Mou

  • You'll hold a Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification and current registration.

  • You value child-led discovery apply pedagogical excellence in your practice.

  • You'll build warm and approachable relationships with whanau and tamariki.

  • You honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi through inclusive and equitable mahi.

  • You'll bring initiative and a proactive energy to the centre.

  • You'll embrace continuous learning and a reflective professional journey.

  • You'll lead with professional integrity and drives a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative mahi.
