Security Officer

SUMMARY The Security Officer will spend a majority of their work day patrolling the campus by foot or motor vehicle and will also issue parking tickets to illegally parked vehicles that they observe while on patrol. This position is vital to the safety of campus, and will report all security, safety or law violations. The officer will also enter and issue parking permits and violations into a specialized parking program. The officer will interact with campus faculty, staff and students. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Security officer will keep campus safe by patrolling by foot or motor vehicle. • Provides building security and access on campus. • Monitors parking lots and enforces parking regulations. • Uses parking computer program to issue permits to faculty, staff and students and to enter parking violations. • Performs related work as required.
