What you will do:
Abiding by the Mercycare mission and values, under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the Lead Radiology Technologist effectively functions in a supervisory capacity to assure quality of service is maintained in accordance with departmental standards.
Responsibilities:
Provides oversight of images to ensure proper quality of exams.
Produces high quality images when needed.
Oversees the sending of images to PACS.
Assists in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
Is point person during downtime procedures.
Ensures the departments required documentation is completed and accurate.
Knows the correct Wet Read Procedure.
Ensures proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.
Incorporates proper use of shielding as outlined in department protocols.
Is responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry procedures.
Includes dosage reports for the PA’s and Radiologists on all Fluoro cases from C-arms and Fluoro Rooms
What you will need:
3-5 Years as a Radiologic Technologist
AAS in Radiologic Technology
Current NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT Certification required.
Pay Range: $47.50- $66.53
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
