Job description
Meet Our Team:
- You will join a high-performing Software Asset Management (SAM) and Enterprise Licensing team focused on managing complex software licensing ecosystems and vendor-managed licensing environments.
- The team partners closely with Infrastructure, ITAM, Cloud, Security, Deployment, and Business Operations teams to ensure licensing compliance, operational continuity, and scalable entitlement management solutions.
- This group drives enterprise-wide licensing modernization initiatives leveraging Flexera technologies, automation, cloud integrations, and advanced reporting capabilities to improve governance, compliance, and user experience.
- The environment is highly collaborative, combining technical engineering expertise with operational support to manage mission-critical licensing platforms across hybrid infrastructure environments.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide technical and operational support for enterprise software license infrastructure and vendor-managed licensing environments to ensure system availability, compliance, and user provisioning.
- Design, develop, architect, and maintain solutions using FlexNet Operations (FNO), FlexNet Embedded (FNE), and FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS).
- Design and implement licensing workflows, entitlement management processes, and software product packaging solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations between FlexNet platforms, ERP systems, CRM applications, cloud platforms, and internal enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable licensing and SAM solutions.
- Oversee server setup, Beacon configuration, database preparation, and agent deployment for FNMS environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to licensing, entitlement management, and software asset management systems.
- Ensure scalability, performance, compliance, and operational stability of Flexera implementations.
- Perform license file updates, reauthentication activities, and vendor-required configuration changes aligned with licensing renewals and entitlement models.
- Administer cloud-based license managers, license portals, remote dongles, and user provisioning processes.
- Conduct monthly license hygiene, reconciliation, and cleanup activities using usage analytics and compliance reporting.
- Maintain Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments supporting Flexera platforms and licensing infrastructure.
- Support automation initiatives, operational optimization, and continuous improvements across SAM processes and data quality programs.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, mentoring, and best practices to support enterprise licensing operations and modernization initiatives.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Deep hands-on expertise with FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), FlexNet Operations (FNO), and FlexNet Embedded (FNE).
- Strong understanding of software licensing models, entitlement management, software monetization strategies, and software asset management practices.
- Experience working with APIs, SQL, IIS, scripting, and multi-operating system environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows, Linux, and UNIX server administration supporting enterprise licensing systems.
- Experience designing and managing hybrid and cloud-native environments, including containerized platforms such as AKS and EKS.
- Expertise with SSO, SAML, and OAuth authentication integrations for Flexera environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing concepts.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms using tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar integration technologies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting for automation and operational support.
- Experience with automation and DevOps tools such as Azure Automation, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong data modeling, normalization, analytics, and reporting experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance within enterprise SAM and licensing environments.
