Job Description
A hotel housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring a comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning Guest Rooms: Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and disinfecting bathrooms.
- Restocking Supplies: Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, drinking glasses, and writing materials to ensure guests have everything they need during their stay.
- Maintaining Common Areas: Keep public areas like lobbies, hallways, and conference rooms clean and tidy, contributing to the overall appearance of the hotel.
- Guest Interaction: Handle guest requests for extra supplies or services promptly and courteously, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Reporting Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Laundry Duties: In some cases, housekeepers may also be responsible for laundry tasks, including washing and drying linens and restocking linen carts.
