
IB Primary Years Programme Coordinator
Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Helps teachers strengthen their knowledge base and repertoire of teaching skills, including inquiry, to implement the International Baccalaureate Organization's (IBO's) PYP. This person will promote the fundamental concepts of the IBO and help to ensure that such practices support improved student performance. The coordinator is a member of the school leadership team and collaborates with other members of the team to develop a school culture that reflects the qualities of the IB Learner Profile.

Education and Experience:
- A Master's Degree and experience planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating staff development programs preferred.
- Prior training and experience in an IB program preferred, but not required.
- A successful teaching experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls.
- Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to: a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine and projection and video devices.
- Ability to engage in significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions.
