Certified Nursing Assistant

Under the direction of licensed Nursing staff, the CNA assists in providing activities of daily living and comfort measures according to a written plan of care for assigned patients. This role is responsible for the coordination of communications, processing orders for new admissions, outpatients and observation bed patients including transcribing orders, assembling patients’ charts and ordering tests and other necessities.  Responsible for assisting the professional nurse with the clerical duties as well as answering all incoming calls and directing them to the proper location.  Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, the public, coworkers and others.
