Job Description

This role can be based anywhere in Canada.  The expectation is 4 days a week with direct patient care and 1 day a week supporting the Vestibular Program (training, mentoring, reporting etc.)

About this Role

The Lead, Vestibular Therapy oversees a key practice area for Lifemark and Canadians as Canada largest rehab provider. Lead(s) will provide visionary and strategic leadership to elevate quality, focus on clinical practices, fostering professional growth, enhancing client satisfaction, while driving sustainable vestibular revenue growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced vestibular rehabilitation clinician, passionate leader, skilled communicator, and advocate for professional excellence, committed to ensuring Lifemark remains the leading provider of vestibular rehabilitation services in Canada.

The Lead will be required to maintain clinical practice, splitting their time between management and clinical duties. The expectation is 4 days a week with direct patient care and 1 day a week supporting the Vestibular program (training, mentoring, reporting etc.)


Key Responsibilities:


Standardization of Practices

  • Align with national development, implementation, and oversee standardized vestibular clinical protocols to ensure exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and uphold professional standards, recommending and leading quality improvements where required (charting and reporting reviews)
  • Provide strong, supportive, and consistent leadership, being available to RDs and PLs for advice on complex practice challenges. 
  • Work with the Provincial Leads and Regional Directors to identify opportunities to introduce vestibular rehabilitation, including therapists for training & certification.

Professional Development

  • Act as a conduit for aspiring clinicians to the approved curriculum for ongoing Vestibular education, including quarterly training, vestibular bridging courses and skills workshops. 
  • Drive initiatives to improve therapist retention and satisfaction year-over-year through targeted learning and career growth opportunities.
  • Maintain social media presence 

Quality Assurance & Client Satisfaction

  • Support the quality assurance framework, including regular audits, client feedback loops, and measurable service delivery improvements.
  • Promptly trouble-shooting and triaging equipment issues
  • Monitor patient outcomes to ensure consistent excellence in therapeutic care.

Strategic Partnerships & Innovation

  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, educational institutions, and research organizations to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Pioneer innovative service offerings and evidence-based therapeutic approaches through academic and industry collaboration.

Enhanced Communication & Collaboration

  • Support communication network for Vestibular therapists to share knowledge, solve challenges collaboratively, and celebrate achievements.
  • Partner with Provincial Leaders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services in strategic geographies. 
  • Host a Community of Clinical Excellence Meeting once a quarter with designated Vestibular clinicians.


Key Deliverables:

  • Canvas existing providers within the clinic network identify areas of opportunity for growth and optimization of services across the network
  • Hiring Criteria & Compensation Model: Collaborate with HR to define hiring criteria and a standardized compensation framework to attract and retain top Vestibular talent.
  • Training & Onboarding Program: Design and launch updated onboarding & retention programs introducing new Vestibular therapists to Lifemark’s service standards, values, and culture.
  • Patient awareness Materials: Work with central resources to update client-facing brochures to educate patients about what to expect from Vestibular appointments, including the importance of consent, scope of practice, and treatment benefits.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and implement a comprehensive SOP that establishes consistent standards for Vestibular services across all Lifemark locations.
  • Quarterly Professional Development: Implement a structured quarterly learning series where Vestibular therapists come together to develop skills, reflect on lessons learned, and receive organizational updates.
  • Overall performance and growth of Vestibular services and revenue for trained clinicians across the network – monitoring clinicians performance and growth of the business in clinics with trained vestibular professionals.

What we're looking for:

  • Registered Physiotherapist or similar specializing in vestibular therapy in good standing with a provincial regulatory body (or eligible for registration). 
  • Preference (not a requirement) will be for candidates who have completed the Vestibular Competency Course from Emory/Duke University.
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience; leadership experience is an asset. 
  • Proven success in program development, quality assurance, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, clinical best practices, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving operational improvements and measurable results.
