Job Description
At Fortive, we empower creativity and bold thinking to unlock breakthrough solutions and accelerate innovation. We are committed to building diverse, high-performing teams and believe that inclusive talent strategies create a competitive advantage in the markets we serve.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Strategic Sourcing Partner, MedTech to lead top-of-funnel talent strategy across critical functions within the MedTech ecosystem, including R&D, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and related technical roles.
This role is focused on talent market intelligence, proactive pipelining, and engagement of highly specialized, passive talent. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in MedTech talent markets, thrives in complex and regulated environments, and excels at building diverse, high-quality candidate pipelines ahead of demand.
You will partner closely with Talent Acquisition Partners and business leaders to shape talent strategies that enable innovation, product development, and regulatory success.
This is a pipeline-first role focused on proactive sourcing, early-stage candidate screening, and talent market strategy, not full-cycle recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth research on MedTech talent markets, including competitors, key talent hubs, and emerging skill trends
- Provide insights on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring risks within regulated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO)
Advanced Sourcing Strategy
- Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract niche, high-demand MedTech talent
- Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, research institutions, life sciences communities, and AI-enabled sourcing tools
Proactive Talent Pipelining
- Build and maintain robust pipelines of passive candidates across critical MedTech functions
- Anticipate future hiring needs tied to product development cycles and regulatory milestones
Candidate Engagement & Relationship Building
- Deliver personalized, high-touch outreach that resonates with specialized technical and clinical talent
- Build long-term relationships with candidates in highly competitive and niche talent pools
Partnership with TA & Business Leaders
- Collaborate with TA Partners, hiring managers and business stakeholders to align on role requirements, technical competencies, and market strategy
- Participate in intake sessions and ongoing calibration to refine targeting and outreach approaches
Data-Driven Sourcing Excellence
- Track and analyze sourcing metrics (pipeline health, conversion rates, diversity mix) to optimize performance
- Continuously refine sourcing strategies based on data and market insights
Employer Brand Activation
- Amplify Fortive’s employer value proposition within MedTech and life sciences communities
- Support talent branding initiatives across sourcing channels and professional networks
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, or related discipline
- 4+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing within MedTech, medical device, life sciences, or healthcare technology sectors
- Proven track record of building pipelines for niche, hard-to-fill roles (e.g., Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, R&D)
- Strong understanding of MedTech functional areas and the impact of regulatory environments on talent needs
- Expertise in sourcing tools and techniques, including LinkedIn Recruiter, market mapping, and AI-enabled platforms
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sourcing strategies
- Excellent communication and candidate engagement skills across global talent markets
- Thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and embraces ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate talent needs and proactively build pipelines aligned to business and product roadmaps
- Collaboration & Influence: Strong partnership mindset with the ability to influence across TA, HR, and business stakeholders
- Business & Regulatory Acumen: Understanding of MedTech product lifecycle, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated success engaging and nurturing passive candidates within specialized talent markets
