
Overhead Crane Technician
Job Description
As a Overhead Crane Technician, you install, maintain and repair crane for our customers across the Maritimes. You will have the opportunity to service cranes from a variety of industries including construction, fishing, and oil and gas. This role will report to the Overhead Crane Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently when required.
- Provide on-call support for breakdowns and urgent repairs.
- Perform comprehensive crane inspections and accurately complete all required documentation.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code specifications to determine equipment layout.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical servicing of lifting equipment in compliance with CSA B167, CMAA, and provincial regulations.
- Consult with customers to clearly communicate inspection findings and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrical or Industrial Millwright ticket considered an asset
- 10,000 hours of crane servicing experience considered an asset
- Class 5 Drivers License required
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Comfortable and capable of working at heights of up to 125 feet.
