We'd like to start by letting you know that we are top nationally ranked dealer alternative automotive repair company with 10 locations to serve DFW. We now have 2 locations in Lewisville, Argyle, Cross Roads/Aubrey, McKinney, Frisco, Castle Hills, Allen, N. Fort Worth/Keller, and Southlake.
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor with a minimum of two years of experience working with all makes and models. In this fast-paced, high-impact role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our valued customers and skilled technicians, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience from vehicle check-in through delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong automotive knowledge with exceptional communication and sales abilities, and who thrives in a dynamic dealership environment. Your ability to build trust, explain technical information clearly, and recommend appropriate services will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and departmental success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a welcoming and professional customer experience by actively listening and accurately identifying vehicle concerns
Create detailed and accurate repair orders using effective service writing techniques
Clearly communicate recommended services, repairs, and maintenance options, including cost estimates and timelines
Confidently recommend additional services based on vehicle condition, while maintaining honesty and transparency
Collaborate closely with technicians to prioritize workflow, monitor repair progress, and ensure timely completion
Oversee a wide range of services, including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, transmission work, suspension, alignments, tires, diesel systems, and more
Maintain accurate service records, including customer history and repair documentation
Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and build long-term loyalty
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor (required)
Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and service operations
Broad mechanical knowledge, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, diesel engines, shocks & struts, and brakes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, customer-friendly manner
Proven ability to upsell services ethically while prioritizing customer needs
Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
Solid customer service skills with a focus on relationship building and retention
Proficiency in service management systems and repair documentation
