Why we need you
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for our teams across SEA, North Asia and Hong Kong. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person who ensures everyone gets paid accurately and on time, while helping shape smooth, compliant payroll operations across multiple countries. You’ll work hands-on in Workday, collaborate with regional HR and finance teams, and improve processes that directly affect employee experience and business performance. If you bring 3–6 years of payroll experience (payroll outsourcing or shared services a plus), a proactive mindset, and a passion for accuracy and continuous improvement, you’ll thrive here — and have real influence on how we scale payroll operations across the region. Join us to make payroll a trusted, efficient part of our employee experience.
What we’ll count on you to do
- Manage monthly payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary payments for SEA, North Asia and Hong Kong.
- Maintain and update payroll-related data in Workday, including employee salary records, adjustments, and final settlements for new hires and resignations.
- Handle statutory contributions and ensure compliance with local payroll regulations.
- Administer payroll computations, generate payroll reports, prepare bank submission files, and review annual tax returns prepared by payroll team members to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate and prepare HR reports such as employee movement, headcount, summary, cost center allocation, and payroll breakdown reports.
- Provide operational and administrative support to regional payroll teams.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, attendance, and benefits.
- Support other HR operational tasks as required.
- Assist in optimizing payroll processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What you’ll bring
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in Asia Pacific, preferably within a Shared Services environment, covering HR operations and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, processes, and relevant labor laws.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume payroll tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
- Experience working with payroll vendors and managing outsourcing relationships.
- An action-oriented, detail-minded, and highly organized approach
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications including Excel
- Ability to work with numerical data
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Fluency in spoken English; proficiency in additional regional foreign languages an advantage
