Cross Sell, Business Development Manager | French Bilingual

About your role:

Clover, a Fiserv company, is the SMB platform combining payments and point-of-sale software to help merchants run and grow their businesses. You will join a high-growth/customer growth, sales team focused on helping existing Clover merchants maximize the value of their platform by adopting additional Clover software solutions. This role drives revenue growth by identifying opportunities within an assigned portfolio of existing customers, uncovering business needs, and recommending Clover's premium software offerings that help merchants improve operations, increase revenue, and enhance the customer experience.

Compensation:

  • Base salary: $55,000 annually
  • On-target earnings (OTE): $100,000 annually (base + variable incentive when performance goals are met)

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing Clover merchants by identifying opportunities to expand their use of Clover's software ecosystem.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through assigned customer lists, inbound inquiries, referrals, and account-based engagement strategies.
  • Consult with business owners to understand operational challenges, business goals, and opportunities for growth.
  • Recommend and demonstrate Clover’s premium software solutions, including industry-specific applications and value-added services designed to improve business performance.
  • Drive software upgrades, feature adoption, and account expansion by delivering tailored recommendations aligned to merchant needs.
  • Manage the sales process from discovery through close while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Partner with onboarding, implementation, customer success, and support teams to drive successful deployment and ongoing adoption of software solutions.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing merchants to increase retention, customer satisfaction, and lifetime value.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Bilingual proficiency in both French and English.
  • 0-1+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, customer success, or customer-facing business development roles.
  • 0-1+ years of experience conducting consultative conversations and identifying customer business needs.
  • 0-1+ years of experience with CRM and pipeline management tools such as Salesforce.
  • 0-1+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • 2+ years of success in B2B sales, account management, software sales, customer success, upselling, or cross-selling environments.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and problem solving skills.
  • Experience selling SaaS, POS, business software, or technology solutions to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
  • Experience building relationships with business owners and identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with merchant services, payment processing, or acquiring environments.
  • Experience managing customer portfolios, account planning, and revenue expansion initiatives.
  • Direct experience with the Clover platform or similar POS and business management software ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting software adoption, implementation, or customer onboarding initiatives.

How you’ll work:

  • This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.

Travel:

  • Approximately 60% field travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
  • Must have your own mode of transportation for field travel.
