Minimum requirements: One year cooking experience; Have sufficient dexterity to handle food and equipment efficiently and safely; Able to lift up to 30 lbs; Able to work on feet for long periods of time as a great deal of time is spent on foot either continuously walking or standing. ServSafe is preferred, but can be provided after probation period. Must have a valid driver's license and must pass a background check and drug test.
CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio’s efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.
We are currently looking for a Full Time Cook for our Food Services team for our Residential Facilities. Hours will be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday along with one weekend per month from 9:00am-5:30pm, with days off during the week. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Duties Include:
- Cooking meals
- Writing the prep list
- Food preparation
- Checking in and putting away inventory
- Cleaning
- Using the company vehicle to deliver meals and pickup from Food Bank
- Compliance with all cleaning schedules and assignments
- Adherence to all safety policies and procedures
