We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our White Bear Township, MN team. You will support intercompany manufacturing lines. Work will include equipment specification and selection, equipment replacement/rebuilds, cell design, facility layout, IQ/OQ/PQ, technical writing of documentation, and operator training. This will be carried out in the framework of Pentair’s Win Right Values. About 1/3 of the work is project management work, about 2/3 are hands on manufacturing engineering work.
You will:
- Develop an understanding of product and process requirements.
- Creates functional specifications for equipment
- Designs lean work cells
- Conference with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Drives and supports continuous improvement activities
- Supports Knowledgeable about: Plastic fabrication methods, Adhesives/potting, Testing, Filtration/RO
- Develops complete project plans including resources, costs, benefits and schedules. Assumes full responsibility for all aspects of projects to ensure goals are met on time. Communicates project status to stakeholders as appropriate and follows up to ensure project results are sustained.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts. Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Prepares and maintains manufacturing documentation (BOM, Work Instructions, Manufacturing Standard Practice, Setup sheets, and Test methods) for manufactured products.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Conference with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Key Qualifications:
- BS degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology or equivalent
- 2-4 years’ technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in computer programs including; SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer, MS Office, JD Edwards, MiniTab, etc.
- Familiarity with PLCs, Electronics, Hydraulics, Robotics, and automation
- Promote teamwork and collaboration
- IQ/OQ/PQ experience desired
- Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Drives for results
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive and self-motivated
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
