Job Description:

The Coordinator, Advising supports student success by overseeing advising functions, training, and communication. This role helps facilitate enrollment and retention campaigns, develops and delivers advisor training, ensures effective onboarding of new advisors, and coordinates advising activities aligned with the academic calendar. Provides input on system configurations, business processes, and reporting in Workday, while tracking student progress and registration data. Serving as a key liaison between advisors, leadership, and departments, the position ensures advising services are consistent, efficient, and student-centered. Reports to the Dean, Enrollment Management.

Required work time may involve some evenings and variations in work hours for registration and special related events. Regular and consistent attendance, as well as punctuality, are essential to fulfilling the requirements of this job.

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a Student Services area OR graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree and four years of experience in a Student Services area.  Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.  Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position.  A Florida Department of Law Enforcement

(FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience at the post-secondary level in academic advising.    

Salary Range:  $48,300.00 - $53,300.00
