Systems Engineer

Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Contract to Hire)
Location: Portland, OR

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development, automation, installation, configuration, and ongoing administration of all system components. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to analyze, evaluate and solve technical problems within a fast-paced team environment including QA, Software Engineers, Security Engineers and DBA’s in a DevOps environment. Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills required. Collaborate on new solutions that challenge conventional thinking.

Required Skills:
Windows Server 2008/2012 Administration
• IIS 7.0, 7.5 (.NET) Architecture, Security, and Performance Tuning
• Directory Services Administration (Active Directory, LDAP, ADAM)
• Microsoft SQL 2008/2012/2014

Desired (not required) Skills:
• Linux Server Administration
• VMWare ESX Administration
• Distributed Web Architecture Server Load Balancing
• PKI Administration (x.509, PGP)
• Data Backup and Recovery (Networker\Data Domain)
• Alerting and Monitoring (Zenoss)
• Storage Area Networks (EMC)
• Server Hardware Maintenance (HP)
• Experience managing public\private cloud environments
• Strong background in Security (CISSP or similar certification a plus)
• Experience in a DevOps Environment
• Experience with Continuous Delivery
• Experience with working with open-source tools
• Experience with server automation software (puppet, chef, HPSA, etc)
Education/Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in CS\CIS preferred
