Purpose of the Role

As a Piping Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of construction activities by providing coordination, planning, and oversight of piping installation work across assigned projects.

The role is responsible for ensuring piping construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, customer expectations, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders, the Piping Coordinator contributes to the successful delivery of projects that support Worley’s commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate piping construction activities to support the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of projects.
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of piping installation work to achieve project objectives and milestones.
  • Monitor field construction progress and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and overall project performance.
  • Ensure piping construction activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Support the implementation of project execution strategies that align with customer objectives, contractual commitments, and Worley standards.
  • Participate in the development and review of work packages, construction plans, schedules, and installation methodologies.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and verify construction documentation, reports, inspections, and quality records.
  • Provide technical guidance and coordination support to construction personnel and project team members.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to support informed decision-making and project alignment.
  • Support the management of project budgets, resource utilization, and cost control initiatives.
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable project outcomes by promoting responsible construction practices and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in resolving field-related issues through collaboration, technical evaluation, and practical problem-solving.
  • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and customer discussions as required.
  • Ensure all work activities are performed in accordance with Worley policies, procedures, values, and ethical standards

Qualifications / Skillset

Education and Experience

  • Degree, diploma, trade qualification, or equivalent relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating piping construction activities within the energy, chemicals, resources, industrial, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Experience supporting construction projects through planning, execution, commissioning, and project closeout phases.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation methods, construction practices, codes, standards, and industry requirements.
  • Understanding of construction planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and project controls principles.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, piping isometrics, specifications, work packages, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes related to piping construction.
  • Familiarity with field construction systems, processes, and digital tools used to support project execution.
  • Ability to identify technical issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions.
  • Understanding of construction safety requirements and environmental compliance obligations.
