
Senior Civil & Interior Project Engineer / Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Civil & Interior Project professional to lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of projects with high end finishes. The role spans civil finishes works, interior works (joinery, finishes, MEP coordination), cost & schedule control, vendor management, and quality & safety compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on site leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and demonstrable delivery of multi-site/commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Prepare and manage project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures (WBS); track milestones.
- Conduct feasibility, site readiness assessments, and method statements; plan sequencing of civil and interior activities.
- Coordinate MEP interfaces with civil finishes (HVAC, electrical and lighting, plumbing fixtures, fire safety systems etc).
- Drive design development and shop drawings review; ensure GFC (Good for Construction) drawing alignment.
Civil Works Execution
- Oversee structural alterations, flooring, waterproofing, masonry, plastering, Flooring works (Granite/tiles/vinyl/epoxy etc), cladding (Granite/Marble/Wooden etc), painting; ensure compliance with IS codes and NBC India.
Interiors / Fit-Out Delivery
- Supervise joinery, modular furniture, partitions (gypsum/glass), ceilings, wall treatments, veneers, laminates, stone, metal, and soft finishes.
- Ensure sample approvals, mock-ups, material submittals, and finish schedules; maintain snag lists and close-out.
- Coordinate with designers for detail resolution (profiles, skirtings, reveals, edge bands, hardware).
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage subcontractors, supplier performance, and site workforce allocation; resolve site conflicts.
- Liaise with client representatives, architects, and consultants; run weekly progress reviews.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Enforce EHS and site safety standards (PPE, method statements, tool box talks, risk assessments).
- Ensure statutory approvals and municipality norms are adhered to.
- Maintain daily logs, measurement books, RFI/RFP trackers, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
Quality & Handover
- Implement quality control plans and benchmarks; conduct mid-project and final inspections.
- Drive commissioning (if applicable for MEP), snag rectification, and defects liability follow-up.
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred), or Diploma with strong experience.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years in civil & interiors projects (commercial office, retail, hospitality, or high-end residential).
