
Scientist – Analytical Testing (Proteins & Biologics)
Job Description
We are seeking a Scientist – Analytical Testing (Proteins & Biologics) to support characterization and release testing of biological therapeutics in a regulated laboratory environment. This is a hands-on, testing-focused role where you will execute established analytical methods, support high-throughput workflows, and contribute to data integrity and compliance.
This role is ideal for early-career scientists seeking to build technical expertise in protein analytics, biologics testing, and regulated lab environments (cGMP/GLP).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical testing to support biologics characterization and release
- Execute established methods with full ownership of sample preparation, analysis, and documentation
- Conduct testing using:
- LC-based methods (e.g., HPLC/UPLC)
- Plate-based assays for protein characterization and impurity analysis
- Support high-throughput workflows, including automated liquid handling systems
- Analyze and review data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Troubleshoot routine method and instrumentation issues
- Maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation in alignment with cGMP/GLP standards
- Apply scientific knowledge to method execution and data interpretation
- Collaborate within a small, team-oriented lab environment to meet project timelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory or industry experience
- Exposure to analytical techniques (LC-based and/or plate-based methods)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with:
- ELISA, CE-SDS, PCR
- HPLC/UPLC methods (RP, IEX, SEC, etc.)
- Familiarity with lab systems such as Empower, SoftMax Pro
- Experience operating laboratory instrumentation (plate readers, HPLC systems)
- Understanding of regulated environments (cGMP/GLP) and documentation standards
What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

- 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
- 30 Minute In-Person Onsite Meeting with the Team
