Job Description

Lynden Air Cargo is looking for a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant who is a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver. This entry-level position supports the Maintenance Department at our Anchorage station, assisting with routine maintenance tasks and helping ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll gain valuable experience in aviation maintenance while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about safety, precision, and performance. This is a seasonal position, with employment beginning in June through August, dependent on operational needs.  If you're dependable, eager to learn, and looking to build a career in aviation, this is a great place to start. The essential duties of this position are: Perform all assigned work in accordance with Lynden Air Cargo’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs). Conduct routine shop maintenance under direct supervision, appropriate to your training level and demonstrated skills. Work independently on assigned tasks under the guidance of a Lead Mechanic or designee. Tasks may include shop and aircraft parts cleaning, FOD patrol, and general housekeeping. Report abnormal conditions or discrepancies to supervisory personnel. Participate in on-the-job training toward obtaining Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as needed in support of the maintenance team. Additional requirements are:  Must furnish all hand tools of the variety and quantity required to properly perform assigned tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including, but not limited to, maintenance manuals, wiring schematics, and structural repair manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, nights or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods. Current US Driver's License High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
