Job Summary
Job Summary: Performs the functions necessary to load, unload, cut, inspect, package mark, and prepare material
that is processed on internal equipment.

Function in the Job
Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
Essential Functions:
1. Survey the area and provide for storage of stock and in‐process material and keep work station,
clean, safe and organized.
2. Properly lift material and transport to destination with overhead cranes.
3. Properly land material in proper position on shear tables and/or saw tables and remove/attach
magnets, chains, slings and other lifting attachments in a safe and secure manner.
4. Identify and retrieve the proper material according to work instructions or tickets.
5. Perform pre‐shift crane, chain and lifting attachments inspection and document on inspection sheet.
6. Square material to the shear blade or saw roller guides and setup blade gap to proper plate thickness.
7. Cut simple and complex parts.
8. Perform inspection following the procedures on the control plans and hold to tolerances as specified
on the work order/ticket, drawing or control plans.
9. Finish material to customer specifications, package and mark/tag accordingly.
10. Mark heat numbers on all drops and return to storage.
11. Use specified measuring devices properly.
12. Communicate with other workers and supervisors.
13. Understand and comply with safety rules and regulations.
14. Keep work areas and crane clean and free of debris and safety hazards.
15. Experienced in one or more of the following equipment types, CNC shear, drill, press brake, burning
machine, band saw and ironworker.
Required Skills
Physical Requirements:
1. Manual lifting and carrying material up to 75lbs.
2. Bending, squatting, stooping, walking and climbing.
3. Pulling, pushing and lifting material while manually retrieving or positioning.
4. Reaching, guiding, placing and prying.
5. Work in heat/cold and extreme weather conditions.
6. Able to see and hear other overhead cranes, other workers, equipment and alarms.
7. Have adequate eye sight to properly read measuring devices, drawings, etc.
