Job Description

AVEVA is creating software trusted by over 90% of leading industrial companies.

Job Title: MES Product Management Lead

Location:  Cambridge, UK / All of EMEA

Employment Type: Full time

About the Role

AVEVA is transforming how industrial operations are managed, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) sit at the heart of that transformation.

As MES Product Management Lead, you will own and shape the future of AVEVA's MES product line — leading the strategic evolution toward a next-generation, cloud-connected MES platform built on AVEVA CONNECT.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of product strategy, customer engagement, and commercial positioning. You will set the vision, lead a team of Product Managers, and act as the primary decision-maker for the MES roadmap — working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and executive stakeholders across a global organisation.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define the long-term vision and roadmap for AVEVA's MES portfolio, keeping customer needs and business value at the centre of all decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of MES Product Managers, ensuring coordinated delivery against the overall product vision.
  • Partner with the broader platform team to define MES-specific use cases and capabilities that integrate into AVEVA's hybrid cloud ecosystem.
  • Align MES strategy with the global Professional Services organisation to ensure product capabilities directly support customer implementation needs.

Customer Engagement & Market Insight

  • Lead MES customer advisory boards, user forums, and product councils — capturing structured feedback and translating it into actionable roadmap inputs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Professional Services to align on customer-facing events and ensure consistent product messaging.

Commercial & Competitive Positioning

  • Define how AVEVA MES is positioned in the market — including messaging, differentiation, and competitive strategy across both standalone and hybrid deployment scenarios.
  • Partner with the Business Development and Sales organisations to support go-to-market initiatives and key customer conversations.

Stakeholder Leadership & Decision-Making

  • Build strong alignment across Sales, Professional Services, Pre-Sales, and other Product leadership teams to enable seamless workflows across product boundaries.
  • Serve as the single point of ownership for the MES roadmap — making and defending key product decisions with clarity and confidence.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of product management or solutions management experience, with a strong track record in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated ability to define long-term product strategy, multi-release roadmaps, and platform migration journeys — particularly transitions from on-premise or legacy environments to cloud or hybrid architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of MES functional domains: production execution, scheduling, inventory management, quality management, work instruction workflows, and system integrations.
  • Proven ability to translate input from Sales, Pre-Sales, and implementation teams into concrete product decisions and roadmap priorities.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrixed, global organisation — aligning diverse stakeholders, resolving competing priorities, and driving decisions in ambiguous environments.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, customers, and senior leadership with equal confidence.

UK Benefits include:

Flexible benefits fund, emergency leave days, adoption leave, 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension, life cover, private medical insurance, parental leave, education assistance program.
