Shift Type: Full-Time
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director - Facilities Management
  

EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible 

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

• To perform necessary duties associated with warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing and delivering of textbooks or supplies

 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education/Certification:

• Texas License
• High school diploma or GED

               
Special Knowledge/Skills:              

• Exhibit experience in driving delivery vehicles
• Possess a general knowledge of warehouse operations
• Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal operations
• Possess organizational skills essential to inventory and logical/distribution efficiency
• Have basic knowledge of computer functions and the ability to operate personal computer
• Have a service oriented personality
• Demonstrated effective communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read supply requisitions and perform basic arithmetic.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:                            

• Perform general warehouse duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  None     

WORKING CONDITIONS:
 
Mental Demands:

• Reading and comprehending simple instructions both written and oral.   
•    

Physical demands/environmental factors:    

• Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing.         
• Frequent heavy lifting and carrying of up to 50-60 lbs.
• Reaching above shoulders, squatting, kneeling.
• Using fingers to manipulate objects for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials.
• Occasional work on ladders.
