Job Description
Job Summary: This position is responsible for safely operating, loading, and servicing various types of extruding machinery. This position will be responsible for making adjustments to the equipment to ensure first quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observes machine operations to detect any problems and makes adjustments.
- Moves machine controls to index workpieces and adjust settings.
- Perform autonomous maintenance
- Mounts and positions pelletizer head using hand tools.
- Blend, extrude, and size plastic pellets
- Sets and adjusts controls based on specifications.
- Lifts and positions raw materials manually or with PIT equipment.
- Repairs or replaces machine parts or notifies supervisors.
- Feeds materials through machines.
- Adjusts speeds based on materials
- Oversees the packaging and quality of the project
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Able to be forklift certified
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Requires movement throughout the plant, lifting up to 35 pounds, and operating machinery.
- Crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic computer knowledge
- 1-year machine operator experience preferred.
