Job Description

Acts as a lead worker (i.e., provides work direction & training) over Education Program Specialists in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) by assisting and supporting the Assistant Administrator of the CACFP: 
•    Assists with planning, developing, and implementation of operating procedures for the CACFP; 
•    Develops policies/processes for state and federal regulations to support and implement programs within the state; 
•    Develops internal and external training and marketing materials; 
•    Develops and refines menus, forms, handbooks, and procedures; 
•    Establishes process for reviewing sponsors based on federal requirements; 
•    Serves as the technical program contact for the education program specialists. 
•    Conducts program training for the CACFP statewide;
•    Develops internal and external policies and procedures to increase office efficiency;
•    Assigns work to education program specialists and may perform operational activities if assigned (e.g., approvals state car and/or travel requests, receives and/or responds to weekly reports, makes recommendations for performance reviews).
•    Plan and execute the CACFP statewide conference.

Conducts specifically assigned onsite reviews of the CACFP program operations and sponsors, in particular cases where there is sponsor compliance concern. This may include the evaluation of menus, attendance documents, meal counts, receipts and other applicable records:
•    Conducts onsite reviews of sponsors to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; 
•    Makes appropriate recommendations based on findings; 
•    Approves or disapproves new and existing agreements and applications pursuant to federal regulations for CACFP.

Updates and maintains CACFP program policy and guidance documents. Actively stay informed of the latest Microsoft technology trends to ensure innovative and efficient solutions for updating and maintaining program materials.

or service; current valid driver’s license or ability to secure transportation when

area, educational program or service; 4 years experience in a specific or related

ability to secure transportation when travel is required.
-Or completion of graduate core program in a specific or related content area,
educational program or service; 3 years experience in a specific or related
content area, educational program or service; current valid driver’s license or
ability to secure transportation when travel is required. B. In identified programs:
Master’s degree and 3 years of education experience in a specific or related
content area, educational program or service; current valid driver’s license or
ability to secure transportation when travel is required. For both options: The
