Amenities Maintenance Technician
Angel Fire Resort is now hiring for an Amenities Maintenance Technician to join our team this summer. This position provides general maintenance, repair, and landscaping to all assigned areas of the resort amenities, including Monte Verde Lake, Olympic Park, The Stables, Tennis Courts, and the Greenbelts. The job will consist of a multitude of tasks such as mowing, picking up trash, general custodial functions, and other duties and projects as assigned by the Amenities Manager. The ideal candidate has experience working with tools and machines related to amenities maintenance and works well outdoors.
Base Pay: Starts at $17/hr

Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled

Environment: This is an outdoor position and applicants can expect to work long hours in variable weather conditions while performing heavy work (must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently)
Experience: We are looking for applicants who have amenities technician/landscaping experience with a strong work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Performs maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at all facilities/sites including basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Operates resort vehicles, lawnmowers, weed eaters, and other related equipment
- Repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets
- Digs flower beds and plants flowers, cuts grass, trims weeds, rakes pine needles, and assists in preparing terrain by applying fertilizers, seeding and sodding lawns, and transplanting shrubs and plants
- Maintains sprinkler systems
- Cleans internal areas of building by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and washing windows
- Empties trash cans, consolidates trash and takes trash to the transfer station
- Reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriated person for action
- Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work sites at all times
- Completes all tasks as regulated by State and Federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations
- Maintains, tracks, and properly stores equipment that is utilized for landscaping and grounds work
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor
