Engineer/Senior Engineer-Sales
Job Description
OBJECTIVE/MISSION
- The primary role of the Sales Engineer is to develop new customers, promote company product applications, solutions and achieve sales revenue for own territory.
- Pursue sales leads and generate business within multiple sectors – Plastic, Automotive, Pharma, Defense, Steel & General Industries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles and Responsibilities:
The job encompasses but is not limited to the following Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform SWOT analysis for own territory market, collect information about competition, potential market volume, current market share and customers’ feedback.
- Aggressively exploit the territory to identify new target customers and new sales opportunities
- Plan and organize sales activities, such as demo, seminars, solution presentation to find out customer needs and transform opportunities to order.
- Plan the sales activities and make regular visits to customers, 3-4 customer visits per day. Ready to work as a Residential Engineer.
- Meet Sales Objectives & Budget of the company in the assigned Territories.
- Co-operate with Finance department to improve the performance of receivables and overdue.
- Involve in forecasting with manager for allotted geography and preparing a blueprint to implement the same.
- Develop a repeatable sales model that ensures consistent success and revenue growth.
- Participate and actively involved in the product exhibitions to promote the product and generate leads.
- Keeps himself/herself up to date of the market developments, new projects & changes. Ability to tap new markets based on market awareness & provide right technical solutions and product information / demonstrations to the customers and prospects
- Manage key accounts with respect to needs of the customer and sorting their issues. Providing right technical solutions & applications to cater the needs.
- Report timely and accurately in the CRM

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE- 4-6 years of relevant work experience/25 – 30 Years of age maximum
QUALIFICATION- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/ Automobile/Industrial/Mechatronics Stream.
COMPETENCIES
Technical
- Good knowledge of connectors/Valves/Pumps/Compressor/Plastic/Automation industry (products, standards, competition)or related hydraulic/pneumatic products & key markets for the same.
- Adapt in Application & Solution selling to OEMs across Automotive, Plastic, Defence, Pharma and Industrial Automation market segments.
- Ability to manage the long sales cycle from initial contact to first order, steps both technical and sales related that need to be addressed one by one
