 BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our outstanding and compassionate team in Brooksville!

Mental Health Technician Position Details:

• Facility: Behavioral Health Hernando County
• Location: Brooksville, FL
• Status: Full time, Hourly
• Shift Hours: Monday- Friday
• Weekend Work: None
• On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Field Based- Hernando County
• Working with Children 

Required Certification/Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred 
• Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent
• Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

Required Experience:

• 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
