
Senior Claims Consultant
Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our JLT Risk Solutions team at Marsh in Adelaide. This role will be based in Adelaide. This is a full-time role.
JLT Risk Solutions is the appointed Scheme Manager for the Local Government Association Mutual Liability Scheme (LGAMLS), supporting local government members across South Australia with civil liability claims management, risk advice and risk management services. In this role, you will work closely with members and internal colleagues to manage claims and contribute to practical risk outcomes for the local government sector.
We will count on you to:
- Manage a portfolio of civil liability claims in line with established protocols and service expectations
- Carry out technical claims administration, including gathering information, assessing claims, preparing correspondence, managing settlements and processing payments
- Work with the Claims team and Liability Risk Advisor to identify claims trends and support proactive risk management guidance and programs
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide onsite client service and deliver recommendations as required
What you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience managing claims processes from lodgement through to finalisation
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with councils, claimants, lawyers, assessors and other stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail
- Capability in data processing, analysis and reporting
