About this role

Join Just Eat Takeaway's Public Affairs team as Head of Public Affairs for Spain - a high impact role where you will lead the local public affairs strategy, deliver clear regulatory and policy insights to senior leadership, and care deeply about the communities and customers we serve. Working hand in hand with the Country Manager for Spain and our global PA team in Amsterdam, you will bring a collaborative, customer centric mindset to building the stakeholder relationships that shape JET's future in Spain.

Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week from our Madrid office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Country Manager

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Build and own a high quality network of relationships across government, regulators, public bodies and industry associations in Spain - setting the standard for stakeholder engagement.

  • Lead impactful public affairs campaigns, backed by sharp policy content, to secure company's key priorities and drive profitable growth.

  • Monitor political, regulatory and labour policy developments, translating them into timely, actionable insights for leadership and internal teams.

  • Act as a trusted strategic adviser to local teams - legal, operations and industrial relations - helping them stay ahead of policy risk.

  • Partner closely with company's Global PA team in Amsterdam to align local efforts with wider European priorities.

  • Represent JET at senior level meetings, industry events and with key press contacts to shape the policy debate in Spain.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Experience in public affairs, policy or government - whether in-house, at a consultancy, trade association or public institution - with knowledge of labour policy and digital platforms a strong plus.

  • A well developed network across Spain's political and regulatory landscape, with the credibility to open doors and build lasting relationships.

  • Sharp political instinct - a clear understanding of how policymakers think and how to advocate effectively for meaningful outcomes.

  • A collaborative team player who leads by example, supports others to succeed and thrives in a fast-moving, high-ambition environment.

  • Excellent communicator in both Spanish and English, able to simplify complex policy issues and make a compelling case to any audience.

  • Highly organised and delivery focused, with the drive to see projects through to completion and the ambition to continuously raise the bar.
