Description
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Support project managers and engineers with engineering design tasks
- Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations
- Interpret plans from all engineering-related disciplines
- Apply technical knowledge on conventional and unconventional projects
- Perform independent research and manage changing priorities
- Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
- Work in a collaborative team environment to deliver accurate work products that are error-free
- Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Have a strong sense of urgency, time management, and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Motivated to learn from others in a team environment
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
- Be able to develop designs and documentation using AutoCAD 3D Civil and other design software
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
- Ability to travel locally and obtain field data on occasion
- Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
