Senior Associate, Project Controls
Job Description
All-rounder project management and planning role for development pipeline across technologies (onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage).
Part of the Project Controls team, the work will involve interdepartmental collaborations (eg. with Development, Land, Engineering, Finance).
Key responsibilities include project management duties covering development milestones (incl. land & permit), budget, schedule and other PMO tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project development progress tracking & reporting
Monitor pipeline projects' development progress against established targets, consolidate and process information into company database and reports
2. Project development expenditures (DEVEX) tracking, reporting & forecasting
Assist execution teams in managing project budget, liaise with Finance & Commercial teams, report & forecast expenditure patterns
3. Project land acquisition tracking & reporting
Monitor land acquisition progress, process data from Land execution team into reports for management (incl. maps, trackers)
4. Comprehensive project information consolidation and processing
Coordinate information request and ensure timely delivery from various teams (eg. development, engineering, finance, legal, etc.)
Process and package details into deliverables for senior management audience
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
Work experience:
Experience in power sector or renewable energy (in Japan or overseas)
Experience working overseas and/or in multinational environment
Good to have: project management, risk analysis & management, consulting
Technical / professional skills:
Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiencies
Google Earth proficiency
Good to have: project scheduling, project budgeting, power plants permitting in Japan, knowledge of Japanese real estate system
Non-technical / soft skills:
Business level English and Japanese language proficiencies
Capability to process large volumes of data from inter-disciplinary teams into concise reports for various stakeholders, including senior management
Able to work independently quickly
Good to have: strong communication (verbal & written), management & organisational skills
