What this role is all about
As a Regional Finance Specialist, you will join our Controlling and Banking department for the EMEA region, gaining exposure to more than 39 legal entities and understanding how they operate and what drives their performance. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, smooth banking operations, and compliance with regional tax and regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to work at the center of our regional finance operations and collaborate closely with banks, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Reconcile bank statements, internal records, and other financial data, identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare detailed reconciliation reports, document findings, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of processes and procedures
- Record and analyze the equity status of each entity, ensuring accuracy and providing clear supporting analysis
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing explanations related to reconciliations, banking, and tax topics
- Act as the main liaison between banks and internal teams, becoming the point of contact for all stakeholders involved in banking matters
- Complete KYC processes with banks when required, maintain related archives, and keep bank information updated in coordination with legal teams
- Assist with opening new bank accounts and closing existing ones, ensuring proper documentation and smooth transitions
- Manage bank accounts proactively to ensure there are no blockages impacting cash flow
- Support quarterly and annual tax requirements from HQ, ensure up-to-date tax compliance for each entity, and participate in regional tax projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within reconciliation and banking procedures and implement best practices
What makes you a strong fit
- 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with exposure to reconciliation and banking processes, ideally within the EMEA region
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and variances
- High attention to detail and a structured, meticulous approach to financial records
- Confident communicator, able to collaborate across departments and explain findings clearly
- Proficiency in D365 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Self-driven, adaptable, able to work independently and contribute effectively as a team player
