Job Description

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:   

  • Perform drop and count procedures in accordance with gaming and company regulations and departmental policies.
  • Handle currency and other wagering instruments while preparing the items to be processed through the currency counter.
  • Efficiently operate the currency counter, strap, and bag the currency.
  • Verify the currency with the currency counter and system reports.
  • Prepare and verify all manual and electronically generated reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of all currency activity and reporting.
  • Write and verify manual and electronically generated report documentation.
  • Adapt quickly and effectively to procedural changes and assist with other special projects.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (example Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:    

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a casino count room or in handling large volumes of currency in a related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Gaming Registration

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
