Job Role - Mechanical Assembly Operative, Malton
JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW
Due to growth, we are recruiting for Mechanical Assembler’s. This role will primarily undertake the production and assembly of products and components.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• To undertake the production and assembly of products and components.
• Read and interpret drawings/Specifications, work orders,
• Assemble and finish equipment according to information supplied as scheduled by the assembly lead and production supervisor.
• To perform prescribed operations and follow instructions from the production supervisor and team leader.
• Working to tight deadlines in a busy environment as part of a team and individual.
• Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Employee is responsible for determining if he/she has adequate information and materials to complete tasks as directed.
• Safely moves completed work to assigned location(s).
• As needed for the specific assignment, may use hand tools or operate bench mounted air/power assist tools to complete work assignment(s).
• In accordance with work orders, job directions and dimensional drawings, retrieves components and/or supplies from designated stock areas and sets up work area.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
• Driving licence and own transport (unless local)
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Attention to detail and good hand to eye coordination is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Forklift and reach truck license an advantage.
• Good communication skills and people awareness.
• Good numeracy and PC skills.
• Flexibility, an ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and priorities.
